Johanna Jalbert

Once upon a time, there was a teacher, writer and traveler. Her name was Janelle Jalbert. She taught for over a decade at all levels from elementary to university but held a special place in her heart for middle schoolers. Janelle always had a passion for reading and by the age of 10 began writing personalized stories for her close friends.

Though Janelle’s first love was writing, she pursued a career in teaching, as she also loved to see the spark in others in “teachable moments”. After over a decade of teaching in classroom, Janelle traded the white board for the keyboard and melded both online instructing with pursuing a writing career.

Her journey as an author started with an opportunity to write on topics in education before getting the chance to become a motorsports reporter: first covering Southern California motorsports and then reporting on the NASCAR truck series. Eventually, that led to working as a ghostwriter for a variety of clients, including international brands. Then Janelle took the total leap of faith and began writing both non-fiction and fiction. Her Wine for Beginners was published and became an Amazon best seller. Janelle published multiple award winning fictional tales including Flash 40 and Triangulating Bliss.

After nearly a decade away from writing (and incredible tales to tell in that time), Janelle has returned to her first love: writing. With much consideration, Janelle decided that she wanted to shift the focus of her writing to a new direction. Hence, Johanna Jalbert was “born”.
